So For the next couple of years I&#39;m going to have to look at publishing company&#39;s that are willing to accept a five year age difference in a marriage--She&#39;s thirteen he&#39;s eighteen--and then there&#39;s the other things too like actually saving my work. <br />I have other book ideas too. But I don&#39;t know how to finish a book as my Ma&#39; puts it. It is a very historic building and I did know about the connection to the courthouse. The auditorium is one of the oldest in Texas. Stick with it because being a part of a club that requires you to go out an interview people and write stories will give you great experience for the future. Learn to have compassion for those people... because in reality they are acting out of their own pain and insecurities. Let it go...trust in the basic fact that people are all inherently good. They just make hurtful choices at times. Next time someone does something mean to you...don't ask yourself "why me" think on why that person is acting out. I think you will soon figure out that is not about you at all. I know at your age there tends to be quite a bit of jealousy among girls. Don't let it get you down. Mrs. Novosad and I would not want that for you. Trust what we have taught you about this... I know Mrs. Novosad talked to you about these peer problems, too. In fact, I am sure she will leave a comment if she reads this. But believe me I do understand how hurtful it can be to have a friend betray your trust. I am basing on Wynn Seale's History. We are all really anxious to start shoting, did you know the building is modeled after the old courthouse? I thought that it was so cool to make it about the "ghost" every one seems to belive in....<BR/>I am part of Jornalism Club and I just did my report on the history...what a spoiler.<BR/>My theater director has a broken hand from football season..we all tould him he'd get hurt..guy never listens.<BR/>I think I've learned a lot from leaving Chula Vista, trust is not a thing that is always "real". We get broken spirits to mend...and just when you think you have heard and seen it all...you have to find a way to help guide a student through a new hardship that you yourself could not even phathom.<BR/><BR/>Life seems to be constantly pulling our students down from reaching their full potential. We are called upon to be parent and teacher to our students. Teachers are on the "front lines" of a war. We are fighting back and trying to undo all the negatives society has thrown at our kids. This is the very reason why many teachers leave the teaching profession within five years. The constant fight to make a difference...to reach a child....to get them the help they need... and doing this while facing all this "paperwork, testing, and red-tape" without any behavioral consequences. Students are not learning how to be accountable for their actions. I feel the system lets teachers down in getting the support they need to help their students grow. I think the sarcastic feelings teachers feel stems from this lack of support. Its an overall general frustration that teachers feel they are not getting the support they need from parents and the state and federal agencies. <BR/><BR/>"So, how can we do better?" <BR/><BR/>Finding a school with an administration that truly supports its teachers. Happiness in the work place is such a powerful motivation. I didn't realize how different things could be until I moved to a new school. There is definately such a thing as "toxic" work environment. <BR/><BR/>Let the kids have a "VOICE." The majority of the students want to be trusted and freed. Let their creativity come out...let them have ownership of their work and projects through choice. They are searching for their identities. Let them set the bar for themselves! No limitations...just the expectation of the best from them. Like, Dr. Pausch said...there are no bars to set for students.
